This side table takes inspiration from the natural formation of malachite, a process shaped by water, chemistry, and time. The base mimics raw malachite rock, textured and stratified, hinting at the mineral’s deep geological origins. Rising from it, the sculpted golden form represents copper-rich water flowing through underground channels. As it travels, it reacts slowly with surrounding limestone, gradually depositing layers that will become malachite. Through contrasting materials and textures, the piece captures the invisible yet constant work of water: carving, carrying, and creating.
